We specialize in residential design for gardens in Portland and surrounding areas. We design gardens that center their keepers, and aim to maximize the use of the space by carefully considering clients needs and all the ways in which they might interact with their garden. Gardens that feature climate adapted plants chosen specifically for you and your gardens needs are our specialty. We love helping people discover their garden’s potential, and we here to support you in creating and actualizing a vision for your outdoor space. DESIGN SERVICES
Hard/Soft scape design

Are you wanting to add a pathway or patio area to your garden? Are you wanting to add new garden beds in your space? Do you have a landscape that needs restructuring? This design option is for you! Planted will meet with you to get a clear picture of your needs and vision for the space, then will get measuring! With the hardscape and soft scape design you will get a scaled map of your new garden that you or a contractor can use to build the garden of your dreams.
Soft scape design

This design option is perfect for you if you have empty beds or existing beds that need some fresh plant ideas. Planted will come to your garden space and talk about your needs, vision and plant preferences before creating a realistic photographic plant rendering of your garden. Whether you are wanting your garden to be more pollinator friendly, increase your seasonal interest or create a privacy screen planted will design and create images of perfect plant layout.

Plant Procurement

Let us gather all the choicest plants on your plant list from local nurseries in the Willamette Valley. Planted values sustainable growing practices and has relationships with several small scale sustainable plant growers who produce unique varieties of healthy, climate adapted plants. There is a 30% markup on plants purchased, which means you will often pay close to 15-20% less than retail value on plants purchased. Planted will deliver all of your plants to your site and stage them exactly where they should be planted. Not only that, but this service includes a one hour future garden coaching session where we can talk about your gardens progression, create clear maintenance plans, and or problem solve any issues together.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
Consultation $100/hour
Let's meet in your garden and problem solve! Planted can help you with plant suggestions, hardscape advice, drainage questions, general design questions and more. It’s amazing how much can get figured out in a concentrated hour in the garden together.
Often, clients are not sure what type of service they need. This is a great option to begin to sort through your options and get the advice of a professional. If you end up deciding to go with a design option the price of the consultation will be rolled into the design fee. Most clients say a consultation with Planted helps them see where they would like to go and develop a basic plan to get there.
